Good to know
How are credits counted?
1 credit equals 1 minute of uploaded video. A 45-minute video uses 45 credits. If you only upload an excerpt, only its length counts. The clips produced are not counted.
How long are my videos and clips kept?
Free plan: the original video is kept for 48 hours and clips for 7 days. Paid plans: 30 days for the original video (after you last open the project) and 90 days for clips. We email you before each deletion, and your clips stay downloadable for as long as they are kept.
Will I always get the maximum number of clips?
Not necessarily: it is a maximum per video. Semence only keeps passages that stand on their own and make people want to share. A 10-minute video, or a slow-paced talk, therefore gives fewer than a one-hour podcast. From around thirty minutes of speech, most videos reach their plan's maximum. Since you pay for video length and not for clips, you never pay for a clip that doesn't exist. If a video gives no usable clip at all, email us and we will return its credits.
What happens when my 60 free minutes are used up?
You can wait until the 1st of next month, process a shorter excerpt, or move to a paid plan.
Do unused credits roll over?
Yes: your plan's credits are added every paid month and stay available as long as your account is open. For a one-off need, add 100 credits for €7.99 excl. VAT.
Does the watermark disappear from my old clips?
Once your paid plan is active, just re-render a clip from the studio: it is remade without the watermark.
